My first experience with ceramics was in college and I immediately fell in love with the process. After that first class I proceeded to take a ceramics class every term until finishing school. In the many years since that time I have always taken a class here and there and in the last few years have found my way back to working with clay on a consistent basis. This has led me to discover that making pottery is what I feel called to do. In the last year I bought my own wheel, a small kiln, and have been converting my garage into my own home studio. All of my pieces are handmade and unique. I aim to celebrate the handmade element in what I make and enjoy the marks of the hand that can be seen on every piece. Through my pottery it’s my hope is that each piece will bring inspiration to the user and a connection to their own unique creativity.
